Made from organically grown sugar cane, Rapadura is derived by simply evaporating the water from the sugar cane juice, thereby retaining most of the natural nutrients contained in the dense molasses. The traditional handcrafted process is slow and demanding. First, the sugar cane is ground to extract the juice. Then the sugar cane juice is boiled and constantly stirred for hours till it thickens.
Unrefined, with a unique caramel flavour and light golden colour, rapadura is perfect for baking and sweetening of food and drinks.
